Visit the historic Old Town and the World Heritage Site architecture of the New Town, passing the magnificent setting of the Botanical Gardens and onto historic Calton Hill for views across the city skyline.

Returning to the Old Town you will pass the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the award winning Scottish Parliament building, before arriving at your Luxury Hotel in the heart of the Georgian New Town.

You will spend the evening in The Sheeps Heid, Scotland’s oldest surviving public house and a landmark on the Edinburgh pub-scene. Here you will enjoy an evening of Skittles and a traditional Bar Supper.

Day 2 - Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

You will spend the day in the land of Scots heroes Rob Roy, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. Visit the medieval stronghold of Stirling Castle and the beautiful nature and forests of Scotland's first National Park on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond.

Travelling through the Trossachs, an area made famous by Sir Walter Scott, you will climb through the forested hills and lochs of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, before lunch on the banks of Loch Lomond, the most famous and largest of Scottish lochs. You will then board a luxury cruiser to see the “bonny, bonny banks” from the best vantage point, the loch itself.

On returning to Edinburgh enjoy a spectacular evening at Rhubarb, one of Edinburgh's finest destination restaurants. Located within a 17th Century country house hotel this richly decadent, stylish and glamorous restaurant occupies two exceptionally grand Regency oval rooms hidden at the heart of the lavishly restored Prestonfield House.

Day 3 - Highland Perthshire & The Famous Grouse Whisky Experience

Journey into scenic Highland Perthshire to visit the Glenturret Distillery, the oldest working Distillery in Scotland and home to the Famous Grouse Whisky Experience. Here you will enjoy a private tour allowing you to watch the process of making malt whisky, learn about the art of nosing and blend a selection of whiskies to produce the perfect result.

Following a delightful lunch in the Distillery’s restaurant, you will continue north over the Highland fault line, through the beautiful Sma' Glen and onto the "Birks of Aberfeldy" and the small cathedral city of Dunkeld. On returning to your hotel rooms you will find an invitation to what is sure to be the highlight of your stay in Edinburgh - a spectacular Gala Dinner onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia.

For over 40 years Britannia proudly served the British Royal Family and entertaining today is no different than when she was on state duty welcoming royalty and world leaders. Britannia’s Pipe Major will welcome you aboard via the Royal Brow and into the State Apartments for a champagne reception with accompaniment from the onboard pianist.

As the call goes out for dinner, the grand mahogany doors are opened to reveal the magnificent State Dining Room, set with candelabra and flowers. A sumptuous meal will be served by Britannia’s butlers with all the food freshly prepared by the Executive Chef using the finest ingredients.

You will be entertained by Britannia’s own Jazz Trio before the finale to the evening - a spectacular performance of Beat the Retreat from a traditional Scottish Pipe Band on the quayside.
