Arriving into Scotland
By Air:
Nearest International Airports: Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick.
An airport shuttle bus operates to Glasgow city centre (journey time 25 minutes).
A train service operates between Glasgow Prestwick Airport and Glasgow city centre (journey time 45 minutes).
By Rail:
Nearest Railway Station: Glasgow Central Station and Glasgow Queen Street Station.
The journey from London Euston to Glasgow Central Station takes approximately 5 hours 30 minutes. Frequent services are operated on the West Coast Mainline to Glasgow.
By Road:
If you plan to travel by car it is usually possible to leave it at the Guest House or Hotel at the start or end of your walk, for the duration of your holiday. We can check this for you when your booking is confirmed.
Getting to Tarbert
There are regular Citylink bus services from Glasgow Buchannan Street Bus Station to Campbeltown throughout the day. These services stop in Tarbert (journey time 3 hours 30 minutes).
Returning from Southend or Campbeltown
By Bus:
There are fairly regular local bus services from Southend to Campbeltown operated by West Coast Motors. There are regular Citylink bus services from Campbeltown to Glasgow (journey time 4 hours 30 minutes).

Train Tickets
Great savings can be made by buying your train tickets in advance through theTrainline website at www.thetrainline.com. Although tickets can only be mailed to a UK address, overseas customers can still order tickets in advance and collect them from a Fast Ticket machine in the UK. Fast Ticket machines are located in most mainline railway stations.
