Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Edinburgh or Glasgow and travel to Kinnaird
On your arrival we will arrange for you to be transferred to Kinnaird Estate in scenic Highland Perthshire where you will be able to relax in the sumptuous surroundings of the Mansion House before enjoying a delicious buffet lunch.
Kinnaird is one of the finest private sporting estates in Scotland and has a wide variety of outdoor pursuits available to its guests. This afternoon we will arrange a shooting experience for you in the grounds of the Estate, where both beginner and experienced guns are well catered for. You will benefit from expert tuition at clay target shooting at one of Scotland’s leading shooting schools.
In the evening your group will enjoy fine dining in Kinnaird’s elegant 3 AA rosette restaurant. The seasonal menu boasts fresh local produce, some of it grown in the kitchen garden, which is expertly prepared by the award-winning chef.
Day 2 – Highland Adventure Safari
Today we will arrange a uniquely Scottish experience as you travel into the Perthshire hills for a Highland Adventure Safari. You will be transported by 4x4 Land Rover into wild and beautiful Glen Lyon, with lochs and mountains surrounding you on all sides. Armed with binoculars and telescopes you will head up into the mountains through the outstanding awe inspiring natural wilderness sculptured by nature to heights of 3000 feet.
Your professional kilted guides will entertain you with the myths and legends of the area, assisting you to enjoy the magnificent scenery and spot wildlife such as the elusive Blue Hare, soaring Golden Eagle and majestic Red Deer.
You will Safari on to a unique hilltop marquee to enjoy a sumptuous 5 Star lunch at 1,600 feet with magnificent views across the glens and mountains. This Highland Adventure Safari offers a great day out in some of Scotland’s most magnificent scenery and is bound to live long in the memory.
In the evening you will dine at The Royal Hotel in Comrie, the ideal retreat after a busy day in the great Scottish outdoors - pre-dinner drinks are served in the comfortable settees of the Lounge Bar, where you may wish to sample one of the 170 Single Malt Whiskies which are available.
You will be served a delicious meal in the beautifully appointed Dining Room where the Hotel’s resident chefs have an enviable reputation for their inspired use of natural ingredients - prime Scotch beef, lamb, venison, salmon, trout, game, sea fish, shell fish and the best soft fruit in Europe. It will be easy to see why Perthshire is often referred to as Scotland's Larder, as all these ingredients are harnessed to give you a taste of the very best of Scottish cuisine and a memorable culinary experience.
Day 3 – Golf and Fishing in Highland Perthshire
This morning you will have the opportunity to play a round of golf on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles.
This is one of the world's most famous and finest golf courses and the venue for the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014. The course was created by Jack Nicklaus and is a modern classic – it was even described by the great man himself as "The finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with". The Course is a challenge for any standard of golfer and boasts five different tees at each hole, building up to the ultimate 7,088 yard championship test, which makes it the longest inland course in Scotland.
Following lunch back at Kinnaird Estate we will arrange an afternoon of fishing – the most Scottish of sports. Kinnaird boasts some of the finest salmon fishing in the country, with 5 miles of private beats along the River Tay, Scotland's largest and best known fishing river. Trout fishing takes place at the Millpond and Loch Skiach. With the dedicated attention of your own private ghillie, you will learn first hand about fly fishing and spinning on your exclusively reserved beat.
In the evening, dinner will be served back at Kinnaird Estate.
Day 4 - Free Morning at Kinnaird Estate & Transfer to Edinburgh Airport
In the late afternoon you will be transported back to Edinburgh Airport by luxury Chauffeur driven cars.
