Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Glasgow and Travel by Seaplane to the Western Highlands
On arrival at Glasgow Airport we will arrange a breathtaking experience as you travel to your luxury Hotel in the Western Highlands by Loch Lomond Seaplane.

You will fly First Class in an iconic luxury seaplane and feel as though you are back in the unhurried halcyon days of travel with a window seat allowing you to enjoy the best scenery that Scotland has to offer. Leaving behind the historic cityscape of Glasgow en-route to the magnificent Western Highlands, stunning panoramas will unfold - mile after mile of lochs, mountains, glens and ancient castles will glide past as you travel in style to Scotland’s dramatic West Coast.

The images of Goat Fell on Arran, the Paps of Jura, and the imposing cliffs on Mull rising from the Atlantic Ocean, will be etched in your memory forever.

As you travel north we will arrange for your seaplane to land on Loch Tay where you will enjoy a fabulous lunch at the award-winning Ardeonaig Hotel.

Day 2 - Activity Day at Inverlochy Castle
Inverlochy Castle is set amid one of Scotland’s most magnificent landscapes, beside Loch Linnhe and metres from Ben Nevis. To allow you to take advantage of this stunning location and experience some of the exciting activities that are available in the area we will arrange an activity day based at the Castle.

Choose from a Clay Pigeon Shoot within the Castle grounds where you will benefit from expert tuition at one of Scotland’s leading shooting schools. Archery, air rifle, knife and tomahawk throwing will also allow you to test your aim.

Alternatively you may wish to leave the manicured lawns of the hotel and test your skills in handling a four wheel drive vehicle over the rugged terrain in the picturesque countryside of Kinlochleven.

Fishing is one of Scotland’s best loved and most popular activities and with the dedicated attention of your own private ghillie, you could learn first hand about fly fishing and spinning on your exclusively reserved beat.

Other activites available to you are a guided ascent of Ben Nevis, a scenic 4x4 Safari, a round of golf at Fort William Golf Course, Mountain Biking on Aonach Mor and Sea Kayaking on the West Coast.

Day 3 - Jacobite Steam Train
Travel on the Jacobite Steam Train, regarded as one of the Great Railway Journeys of the World, from Fort William to Mallaig. Your 84 mile round trip will take you past a list of impressive extremes - Britain's highest mountain, deepest loch, shortest river and most westerly train station.

The train stops at the village of Glenfinnan, where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745, and crosses the world famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (as featured in the Harry Potter films) with its stunning views down Loch Shiel.

Beyond are the villages of Lochailort, Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig. On a clear summer's day from Arisaig you can see the "Small Isles" of Rum, Eigg, Muck, Canna and the southern tip of Skye. From there the train passes Morar and the silvery beaches used in the films "Highlander" and "Local Hero".
 
The final destination is Mallaig, which is not only an access point to the Isle of Skye but also a thriving fishing community. There is plenty to see and do while in the village and you will have plenty of time to explore before the return journey to Fort William.

Day 4 - Activity Day at Inverlochy Castle
Anorther opportunity to enjoy a range of activities at Inverlochy Castle. Alternatively, we can arrange a Personal Guided Tour of some of the area's scenic highlights - travel to Oban, the Gateway to the Isles, or along the Great Glen to Loch Ness. Visit some of the West Coast's beautiful Islands, including Mull, Iona and the Isle of Skye.

Day 5 - Free Morning at Inverlochy Castle & Transfer to Glasgow Airport
In the late afternoon you will be transported back to Glasgow Airport by luxury Chauffeur driven car.

The journey from the Highlands to the Lowlands will take you along the western seaboard and through breathtakingly spectacular Glencoe, Scotland’s most famous and atmospheric glen. You will continue south through the wilderness of Rannoch Moor before reaching the beauty and sanctuary of Loch Lomond. The area is renowned for its beauty and tranquility and offers picture postcard views around every corner.
