Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Edinburgh and Transfer to Speyside

On arrival at Edinburgh Airport you will receive a warm Scottish welcome from your kilted tour guide who will provide you with luxury coach transport to Speyside. En-route you will travel through Highland Perthshire before stopping for lunch in the Victorian Spa town of Pitlochry, set amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe.

We will arrange for you to visit Edradour Distillery, the smallest and most picturesque distillery in Scotland. Edradour produces a unique, single Highland malt whisky and you will have the opportunity to tour the distillery and taste the end product.

You will then continue north to Aviemore, your destination in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. In the evening you will dine at Aspects, your Hotel’s fine dining restaurant with magnificent views to the Cairngorm Mountain Range.


Day 2 – Activity Day in the Cairngorms National Park

You will spend the day in the Cairngorms National Park, a true wilderness experience with mountains to climb, forests to explore, rivers and lochs to navigate, kayak and canoe. Peace and tranquility are part of the package and adventure comes as standard in this wonderful National Park.

You will spend the morning on Rothiemurchus Estate where you will enjoy a range of activities including a Clay Pigeon Shoot, Quad Biking and 4x4 Off-road driving.

After a delicious lunch on the Estate spend the afternoon tackling the adrenaline-fuelled sport of White Water Rafting. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular and social outdoor sports on offer in Scotland. On the journey down the river you will be encouraged to work with the other members of your team, bumping and gliding your way along the rivers natural course, whilst enjoying all the wild and exhilarating rapids for which the Scottish rivers are famous. In the evening we will transport you up the Cairn Gorm Mountain on the highest and fastest mountain railway in the UK. You will dine at 3600ft above sea level at the Ptarmigan Restaurant, the highest restaurant in Scotland with stunning views across Strathspey and the surrounding mountains.

This exclusive and inspirational venue provides outstanding food, service and hospitality and all within a magnificent natural environment. The evening will conclude with a traditional Ceilidh complete with Scottish music and dancing before you are transported back down the mountain.


Day 3 – The Malt Whisky Trail

 You will spend today touring the world famous Malt Whisky Triangle. This area is the heart of the Whisky industry, and concentrated within a few miles are more distilleries than any other area in Scotland.

There are numerous Distilleries to visit as you wind your way through the various Highland towns and villages, and we will arrange tours at the famous brands of Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. The distillery at Glenlivet has an excellent Visitors Centre and Exhibition and was the first licensed in the region, being granted permission by parliament in 1824. Since then it has become one of the biggest names in world whisky.

We will also arrange for you to join the Glenfiddich Connoisseurs Tour at Dufftown. This is the ultimate experience for fans of single malt whisky as you are taken on an in-depth tour of the Distillery, including a visit to the atmospheric Solera warehouse. As an exclusive highlight you will then enjoy a tutored nosing and tasting session of the finest whiskies from the Glenfiddich range.

In the evening we will arrange for you to dine at The Boat Hotel which overlooks the Strathspey Steam Railway and the famous James Braid designed Boat of Garten Golf Course. The Restaurant is discreetly stylish, and the cuisine is prepared with a contemporary twist. The Head chef’s excellent 7-course tasting menu uses the best local ingredients from the finest larder in Scotland.


Day 4 - Depart Speyside & Visit the Famous Grouse Whisky Experience

As you journey south from the Highlands to the Lowlands you will pay a visit to Glenturret Distillery, the oldest working Distillery in Scotland and home to the Famous Grouse Whisky Experience. Here you will enjoy a private tour allowing you to watch the process of making malt whisky, learn about the art of nosing and blend a selection of whiskies to produce the perfect result.

Following a delightful lunch in the Distillery’s excellent restaurant, you will continue south to Edinburgh and your journey’s end.
