Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Edinburgh
Arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland’s majestic Capital City. Enjoy a City Sightseeing Bus Tour, a visit to Edinburgh Castle and explore the many attractions of this beautiful city.

Day 2 – Edinburgh
Visit the Royal Yacht Britannia, the former floating home of Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family. Take a tour of the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre which brings 300 years of Scotch Whisky history to life and allows you to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the ‘water of life’.
In the evening, we will provide you with tickets for the 2012 Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the most spectacular show in the world, and enjoyed by an international audience of over 210,000 people every year. The Tattoo season on the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle is a sell-out every year, but we will ensure that you have excellent tickets for the 10.30pm show with spectacular Fireworks Finale.
Against the majestic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the action-packed programme will feature exciting contributions from the Massed Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, Highland Dancing, the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland and the stirring music of the world-famous Massed Pipes and Drums.
This year the Tattoo draws together a host of creative talent from four continents to pay sparkling tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee and the year of Creative Scotland. The line-up of nearly 1000 performers includes hundreds of musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers, as well as one of the World's most sensational percussion groups: Switzerland's Top Secret Drum Corps.
The world-renowned display unit from the Norwegian Armed Forces - His Majesty The King's Guard Band and Drill Team - will deliver an extraordinary display of discipline and precision. A strong Commonwealth contribution includes pipe bands and performers from Australia, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand, as well as elements from further afield.

Day 3 – Edinburgh
Take to the streets and experience the award-winning Secrets of the Royal Mile Tour. Your costumed guide will escort you through a walking history of Edinburgh’s dark and distant past, exploring hidden closes, courtyards and secret gardens.
Your visit will coincide with many Festivals that take place in the city each August. Edinburgh has become a hotspot for artistic talent with the International Festival and Fringe.
The summer programme has grown with the Edinburgh Book Festival, the largest book festival in the world; the Edinburgh Film Festival, a world renowned showcase of cinematic talent; and the Jazz & Blues Festival. Performances take place throughout the city and there’s always something to suit all tastes.

Day 4 – Depart Edinburgh
