Itinerary
Day 1 - Travel to the Cowal Peninsula
Your romantic journey begins by travelling west to Loch Lomond and on to the stunning coast of Argyll. On the way lunch at a famous Oyster Bar and visit 18th Century Inveraray Castle, home of the Duke of Argyll and Chief of the Campbell Clan. The road south of here is one of the most beautiful in Scotland, as it climbs to a viewpoint above the romantic Kyles of Bute.
Your destination is a mouth-watering introduction to the West Highlands, home to charming villages, mighty mountain peaks and deep glacial lochs.

Day 2 - Cowal Peninsula to the Isle of Arran
Glorious romantic walks and shoreline picnic spots abound. Explore charming villages perched around bays. A short ferry ride away is the Isle of Bute, an emerald gem home to the gothic splendour of Mount Stuart, the scene of Stella McCartney's wedding.
A short ferry crossing leads to the lively fishing village of Tarbert before your next ferry takes you across the water to Arran, known as "Scotland in Miniature".

Day 3 - Isle of Arran Sightseeing
The west coast of Arran is rugged with glorious beaches and provides great opportunities to spot wildlife. Arran Aromatics is worthy of a visit as is the Island's Distillery, home to The Arran Malt. Brodick Castle looms over the bay at the foot of Goatfell, Arran's highest peak and a climb to the top of this iconic mountain offers wonderful views.

Day 4 - Isle of Arran to Oban
Depart Arran by morning ferry and your self-drive journey takes you north to Oban. As you drive along the western sea-board and through the heart of Argyll, explore Kilmartin Glen, the cradle of ancient Scotland.

Day 5 - Oban Sightseeing
Towards Appin, pass impregnable Castle Stalker rising out of the sea. Enjoy a cruise and experience the exceptional variety of wildlife on the West Coast of Scotland and see one of the classic malt's being made at Oban Distillery.

Day 6 - Isle of Mull Sightseeing
Scotland is home to some of the most beautiful island retreats in the world, and a day trip to the Isle of Mull is a must.
Stepping off the ferry those with a fascination for history can enjoy Duart Castle. Tobermory is the Island's main village with its multi-coloured houses scattered around the peaceful harbour. Nearby, the island of Iona, known as 'The Cradle of Christianity', is a special place with impossibly turquoise waters, dazzling beaches and secret coves.

Day 7 - Oban to Loch Lomond
Return following the stunning shores of Loch Awe and along the banks of Loch Lomond. Your final night will be spent in a quaint village which enjoys spectacular views across the loch.

Day 8 - Depart Glasgow
Before you leave Loch Lomond enjoy a boat trip or a wonderful trip on a sea-plane. Glasgow is less than a 1 hour journey.
