Itinerary
Your information Pack will contain route notes for some of the very best walks and hikes in the Orkney Isles, and over the course of your walking holiday you can select a different route each day. The following are just some of the many possibilities:
- A boat trip to the Island of Hoy followed by a magnificent coastal walk along some of Britain’s highest sea cliffs to a famous sea stack
- A superb walk on mainland Orkney enjoying the rich wild flowers of the coastal machair and one of the largest colonies of seabirds in the Northern Isles
- An impressive route along the shattered cliffs of the Yesnaby Coast, with an optional visit to Skara Brae, Europe’s best-preserved Neolithic village
- A circuit of Hunda Island provides good views across Scapa Flow
- A short boat trip over to the small island of Shapinsay to enjoy a good circuit followed by a superb platter of seafood in the Shapinsay Inn
