Arriving into England

By Air:
Nearest International Airport: London Heathrow.
There are direct connections via the coach station at Heathrow Airport all the way to Bath or Cheltenham.

By Rail:
Nearest Railway Station: Moreton-in-the-Marsh train station.
There is a fast and frequent rail service from London Paddington to Moreton-in-the-Marsh (journey time 2 hours) and from Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon (journey time 1 hour). It’s then a 6 (or 12) mile journey by bus or taxi to Chipping Campden.

By Road:
If you plan to travel by car it is usually possible to leave it at the Guest House or Hotel at the start or end of your walk, for the duration of your holiday. We can check this for you when your booking is confirmed. National Express coaches also serve Bath, Cheltenham and Broadway.

Getting to Chipping Campden

From Moreton-in-the-Marsh train station, take a bus or taxi to Chipping Campden. It’s a 6 mile (20 minute) journey by bus.

Returning from Bath

From the end of the walk at Bath you can travel onwards by all forms of public transport, as it is well linked.

By Rail:
There are fast and frequent services which connect Bath to London (journey time 1hour 30 minutes).

By Road:
National Express coach services serve Bath. We do not recommend you leave a car in Bath as long term parking is very expensive. If you have left a car in Chipping Campden getting back from Bath on public transport takes about 3.5 hours.

Train Tickets
Great savings can be made by buying your train tickets in advance through the Trainline website at Although tickets can only be mailed to a UK address, overseas customers can still order tickets in advance and collect them from a Fast Ticket machine in the UK. Fast Ticket machines are located in most mainline railway stations.
