The award-winning and picturesque Dunvegan Castle is perched on the banks of Loch Dunvegan, and has an iconic history and five acres of beautiful formal gardens to enjoy.

After enjoying the sights of the city, you’ll set off for three days weaving through the dramatic landscapes, legends, and famous landmarks of the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. On your journey north, you’ll travel past the historic heart of Scotland and learn about the battles between Scotland and England. Your tour will stop at Eilean Donan Castle – one of Scotland’s most iconic sites – as well as legendary Loch Ness.
On the Isle of Skye you are spoilt for choice, with romantic Dunvegan Castle on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, the jaw dropping volcanic scenery of the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr, and the stunning coastal cliffs at Kilt Rock. Enjoy the welcoming hospitality of the Island’s capital, Portree, while you explore what is truly one of Scotland’s most magical Isles.

Arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland’s majestic Capital City. Edinburgh is a great place to wander – narrow alleys, flights of stairs and hidden courtyards tempt you off the main streets at every turn and for a spectacular view of the city take a walk up Arthur’s Seat.

Enjoy a City Sightseeing Bus Tour, a visit to Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyrood House and explore the many attractions of this beautiful city.

Your tour begins by departing Edinburgh and travelling past Stirling with its imposing castle, before taking a refreshment stop in Callander. Continuing into the Highlands, you head north towards its glorious scenery and to the wild desolation of Rannoch Moor.
Enjoy lunch in Fort William before your next visit, to the famous Eilean Donan Castle. Crossing over the bridge to Skye, follow the stunning coastline north towards the picturesque harbour town of Portree, the Island’s capital.

Enjoy a flexible day exploring Skye, with many possibilities depending on the weather. Your tour guide may travel north to the stunning Quiraing mountain pass and enjoy a spectacular walk through some of Skye’s extraordinary geological scenery, or visit Kilt Rock, with its waterfall cascading over the cliffs and down into the sea below.
After lunch you could visit the geological wonder of the Old Man of Storr, or go over to Dunvegan Castle, ancient ancestral seat of the Clan McLeod. Talisker Distillery is also here, as are the famous Cuillin Hills.
Overnight – Portree, Isle of Skye
Leave the Isle of Skye behind and travel south through the Cuillin Hills and back over to the mainland for wonderful views of Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail. Then it’s onto Loch Ness for lunch and the possibility of spotting ‘Nessie’!
Your tour continues through the Grampian Mountains and along Loch Laggan, made famous as ‘Monarch of the Glen Country’. It passes Dalwhinnie, home to Scotland’s highest Whisky Distillery and continues past Blair Castle into Perthshire, where you stop for refreshments before returning to Edinburgh at approximately 19.00.
