Important Update on Coronavirus (Covid-19)

In 2020 the world has seen the emergence and spread of a new virus known as Coronavirus (Covid-19). The media coverage worldwide has shown how the situation is constantly changing and new developments emerge every day. At Absolute Escapes, we know that this is a concern for our clients and we are closely monitoring and managing the situation. As always, our priority is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our clients, staff and suppliers.

We understand your concerns, and we are here to provide as much help, advice and assistance as we can, to ensure that your holiday proceeds as smoothly and safely as possible. The details below will help explain how we are operating in the current situation, but please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.

In response to the unprecedented actions being taken by the UK and Irish governments to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Absolute Escapes is temporarily postponing all trips beginning between 17 March and 31 July 2020.

If you are travelling between 17 March and 31 July 2020:

We will have been in touch with you by email to offer you a choice of one of the following options, with no admin fee, for all payments made for bookings due to depart from 17 March to 31 July 2020:

1) Postpone your trip to a specific date any time before 31 July 2022.

2) Postpone your trip to an unspecified date any time before 31 July 2022. Please advise us on your new dates at least 8 weeks prior to travelling.

3) Receive a Refund Credit Note in lieu of a cash refund, which can be used to book another holiday by 31 March 2021. The future booking must be booked by but not started by 31 March 2021. If the Refund Credit Note is not used by this date then you will receive a cash refund at its expiry. All of your money has the same financial protection as your original booking and this is extended for the period that the Refund Credit Note is valid.

As with all of our packages, there is usually an increase in price each year of approximately 5% per year. However, for all three of the above options we’re happy to honour your existing package price.

We appreciate your support during this challenging time and look forward to welcoming you when the time is right.

If the start of your holiday is later than 31 July:

We recommend that you wait until closer to your travel dates to allow for more information to present itself. The situation is constantly changing, and it is difficult to predict what the status of travel for your dates will be. The final payment for your holiday is not due until 8 weeks prior to your travel date.

However, if you wish to postpone your holiday, we are keen to be as flexible as possible with our terms and conditions to ensure that you are still able to travel at some point in the future. With this in mind, we are happy to offer the following options, with no admin fee, regardless of whether you have already made your final payment:

If you choose to cancel your holiday, our standard terms and conditions will still apply. We would suggest that you contact your travel insurance provider to see if you’re able to recover any cancellation costs.
