Discover England's Magical Coastline. One Step at a Time

The England Coast Path is a newly designated National Trail, inviting you to explore the magnificent English coastline. More than 20 years in the making, it will become the longest managed coastal path in the world – tracing around 2,700 miles and encompassing the entirety of England’s coastline, including the Isle of Wight.

Each section reveals a different character. Walk beneath Norfolk’s expansive skies, past Northumberland’s historic castles, or along Cornwall & Devon’s rugged headlands. Some days are gentle, others more challenging, but every step offers wide-reaching views and a quiet sense of England’s coastal heritage.

Long before the vision of a continuous coastal route took shape, the South West Coast Path had already earned its place as one of Europe’s most celebrated long-distance walks. Stretching for 630 miles through Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, it remains the most established and extensive section of the wider trail.
